YouTube Premium Adds ‘Skip Forward’ Feature

YouTube Premium Adds 'Skip Forward' Feature

YouTube Premium has rolled out a new feature called “Skip Forward,” designed to let users quickly skip past ads and other commonly bypassed sections of videos. This new tool leverages artificial intelligence and viewer data to identify parts of a video that are often skipped. By pressing the “skip ahead” button, users can jump directly to the next section of the video that’s likely to hold their interest. Initially launched for Android users in the U.S., this feature is now being expanded globally.

However, not all videos will support this feature right away, as YouTube is prioritizing those with higher viewership. The goal is to make it easier for users to find the most engaging parts of a video while also highlighting the benefits of YouTube Premium.

YouTube Premium provides several advantages, including an ad-free experience and the ability to download videos for offline viewing on mobile devices. Subscriptions start at $13.99 per month, with an option for annual, pre-paid plans that last 12 months.

YouTube Premium is available in over 100 countries, and subscribers can continue to use it while traveling internationally. However, if you’re in a country where YouTube Premium isn’t available, such as China, you’ll need a VPN to access the content.
