Apple is ready to launch its iPhone 16 series mobiles on September 10. This new lineup will include four models from series the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and1 6 Pro Max.
In addition to the iPhones, Apple is expected to unveil much waited Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and SE 3. The new Apple Watch Series 10 is anticipated to have a slimmer profile, while the display size is expected to increase across the board.
The event is also likely to introduce the 4th gen AirPods, which will come in two versions, a standard model and one equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). For the first time, both versions will feature a USB-C charging case, a notable update for the AirPods line.
Apple originally considered moving the event up by a week to avoid conflicting with the September 10th presidential debate. However, they decided to stick with the original date, aiming to ensure their product announcements remain in the media spotlight.
Among the changes expected in the iPhone 16 Pro and16 Pro Max are larger displays, measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches respectively. These Pro models will also include a Tertraprism periscope lens with 5x optical zoom and a 48MP Ultra-wide camera sensor, all powered by the new A18 Pro chipset from TSMC’s advanced 3nm process.
The non-Pro iPhone 16 models will feature the A18 chipset, also produced using TSMC’s second-generation 3nm technology. These models will include a new Action button, allowing users to customize shortcuts for various tasks. Additionally, all iPhone 16 models will introduce an 8GB RAM boost to support enhanced Apple Intelligence features, along with a new Capture button for camera functions, including focusing, snapping photos, and video recording. Many of these camera updates have surfaced in recent leaks.
According to reports, pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series will start on Friday, September 13th, with a release date set for Friday, September 20th.
